Walking From Our Doorstep
Hanoras Cottage, Comeragh Mountains, where transport is abandoned and walking commences. The Nire Valley, a place for all seasons and where each season has its own charm. Come and walk in the buds of Spring – the blossoms of Summer – the shads of Autumn – the snowcapped winter. We have walks to suit all grades, mountain, low-level, forest and quiet country roads. We also provide an excellent guided walking service, maps, packed lunch and walking sticks. It is essential that our guests have their own insurance cover as we cannot accept any responsibility for loss or injury.
Every Saturday morning at 10.30, and other days by request, there are guided walks available from Hanoras Cottage. An expert guide, with indepth knowledge of the Comeragh Mountains & surrounding area, will tailor a walk to suit your needs. Come along and join with others for a great days walking, return to Hanoras for a very welcome reception and refreshments. You may join in the walk even in the unimaginable situation that you did not wish to stay with us!! Or you may come for breakfast and the walk or a walk and dinner! Just call us for details.
Golf From Hanora’s Cottage
At Hanora’s Cottage we are so fortunate to have, within 30 minutes drive, no less than 6 superb golf courses. The Walls are a golfing family and can make all the arrangements for you. Reduced green fees, club hire, service and professional tuition arranged.
